Belgium’s €300 million subsidies to religion and belief organisations The Belgian state dispenses about €300 million a year to religion and belief organisations. About 8.0% goes to humanist and secularist organisations but the Roman Catholic church gets a massive 85.8% (€257 million). Protestant churches get 2.5%, Muslim bodies 2.1% and the rest goes to the Jews and to the Orthodox and Anglican churhces.
