Pierre-Arnaud Perrouty | Development & strategy

Pierre-Arnaud directs the development efforts of the EHF and promotes its missions to new stakeholders and audiences. As Director of European and International affairs at the Centre d'Action Laïque (EHF's member organisation), he also leads and coordinates projects outside Europe, in Maghreb countries and Latin America. 

Pierre-Arnaud graduated in law from Brussels University (ULB) and in European Law from Oxford University. He specialized in civil liberties (freedom of expression, freedom of religion and belief, privacy), equality laws and diversity issues.

Pierre-Arnaud is also Secretary General of the Belgian Human Rights League and a member of the Belgian Journalistic Deontology Committee.


Julie Pernet | Policy, advocacy & membership

Julie works to develop EHF policies and advocacy in the fields of women's rights, freedom of religion and belief, rule of law, stem cells research and LGBT rights. She also works as liaison officer for EHF member organisations.

Julie holds a double Master degree in political sciences from Sciences Po Aix-en-Provence (France) and in European Affairs from the Institute of European Studies (IEE-ULB). Julie is also lecturer at the Institute for Higher Social Communication Studies (IHECS) and volunteer in a program to fight homophobia at school.

Marc takes care of the EHF's communication, web presence, social media and media coverage.

After a few years of working in the field of academic cooperation in Budapest, Hungary, he undertook studies at the College of Europe in Natolin and graduated in June 2010. Before joining the humanist movement, he worked  as Technical & Regulatory Policy Manager at Digital Europe and Public Affairs Consultant at Platte Consult GmbH/Sprl. Marc graduated in Telecommunications engineering in 2006 at the Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieurs en Electronique et Electrotechnique. 


Elizabeth O' Casey | Consultant

Elizabeth is a human rights consultant, specialising in the rights to free thought and expression, the rights of women, LGBTI rights and equality issues and provides coordination work for the European Citizens’ Initiative, Wake up Europe!. She is also Director of Advocacy at the International Humanist and Ethical Union, International Advisor of the Raif Badawi Foundation, Vice Chair on the UN’s NGO Committee on Freedom of Religion or Belief in Geneva and International patron of the Pink Triangle Trust.

For a number of years, she was Vice President and board member at the National Secular Society and also represented the Center for Inquiry at the UN. Prior to her work in human rights advocacy, Elizabeth completed a PhD in Global Justice at the London School of Economics and was a fellow at Yale for a time.

BY TRAIN 

From Brussels-Nord station : tram 23, 52, 55, 58, 81 to De Brouckère, then metro line 5 until Delta station.
From Brussels-Midi station : metro line 2 until Arts-Loi station, then line 5 until Delta station.
From Brussels-Central station : bus 71 until bus stop Fraiteur, or metro line 5 until Delta station.

If you are coming from Ottignies-Louvain-La Neuve, Alost-Denderleeuw, Linkebeek, Rhode-Saint-Genèse, Waterloo or Braine-l’Alleud, get off at Etterbeek railway station.


BY METRO, BUS OR TRAM

BY CAR

If you are coming on the motorway from:

Namur (E411):

- At the Quatre-Bras crossroads, take the direction “Bruxelles-Auderghem”.
- Get onto the Campus de la Plaine of ULB through Accès 2.

Liège (E40):

- Take the direction “Bruxelles Sud”.
- When you are on Boulevard Général Jacques, at the building of the Citybank, turn towards Campus de la Plaine of ULB.
- Get onto the campus through Accès 2.

Paris-Mons (E19):

- Get onto Ring EST (East). At the crossing with the Bruxelles-Namur motorway (E411) , take the direction “Bruxelles-Auderghem”.
- Get onto the Campus de la Plaine of ULB through Accès 2.

Lille-Mons:

- Take the direction “Drogenbos”, then “centre-ville”.
- At the crossing with avenue Brugman, go on avenue Defré.
- Get across chaussée de Waterloo and into the Bois (wood) de la Cambre to reach avenue Roosevelt that you have to cross.
- Go straight on on boulevard Général Jacques, until the building of the Citybank, then turn right towards the campus de la Plaine of ULB.
- Get onto the campus through Accès 2.

Gand (A10) :

- Take the direction “centre-ville”, then the tunnels towards “Bois de la Cambre” which will lead you to avenue Louise. It gets onto avenue Roosevelt.- At the second crossroads, turn left and take boulevard Général Jacques.
- When you reach the building of the Citybank, turn right towards the campus de la Plaine of the ULB.
- Get onto the campus through Accès 2.

Anvers :

- Take the Ring Ouest (West) until the entrance to the Liège motorway.
- Take the direction “Bruxelle-sud”.
- When you are on Boulevard Général Jacques, at the building of the Citybank, turn towards campus de la Plaine of ULB.
- Get onto the campus through Accès 2.
